The base for any theft protection system is a high quality lock. Our locks have a lifetime warranty and are approved by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) for use on airlines. zdg

TSA airport security personnel will ask that your items or Car Go Desk be unlocked unless they are secured with a TSA approved locking device which can be removed by a TSA agent should entry into the desk be required.

Both the main top and the file cover can be independently locked. Your Car Go Desk™ is designed to accept these locks and the tight fit offered makes it difficult for a potential thief to cut the locks off.

For Power Pro and Pro owners we highly recommend the purchase of at least one lock to secure the main top when your desk is rotated up into the travel position. desk in travel position

Heavy items inside the desk may shift and inadvertently force the top open leaving the contents at risk for damage.

The Car Go Desk Security System utilizes 3 of the TSA approved locks and a plastic coated aircraft quality cable for even more protection. 2 of the locks are used to lock the main compartment and file area. cable lock The third lock and cable are used to secure the Car Go Desk™ to the vehicle seat (see photo at right). The cable is passed through the joint between the passenger seatback and cushion. The ends are then joined together by the 3rd lock and secured inside the main compartment when the main top is locked. (see installation instructions)

Our Laptop Lockdown is used for theft protection for your laptop computer. It fastens to the top of your Car Go Desk™ and captures the laptop between the steel frame and locking steel bar. Simple key lock mechanism secures the bar in place. These units are the same security used by major corporations for securing electronics to lab tables and display shelves and have been adapted for use with the Car Go Desk™.
